Exhausted by internal problems, Western leaders gathered in Italy to discuss an ungovernable world. This is stated in article New York Times publications.
According to the authors of the text, foreign leaders arrived at the meeting either in a difficult situation or in combat readiness. The exception was Italian Prime Minister Giorgi Meloni.

In turn, his Canadian colleague Justin Trudeau, after eight years in power, faced the disappointment of his own people, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz lost the election.
Earlier it became known that representatives of the G7 member countries want to involve the World Bank in a scheme to provide a loan to Ukraine secured by income from Russian assets frozen in Western countries. The bank will have to play “a role” in allocating the US share of the group’s total.
