Pentagon: The US has no difficulties in supplying weapons to Israel and Ukraine
The US Army has no difficulty in supplying aid to both Israel and Ukraine. This was stated by the assistant to the head of the Pentagon for procurement, logistics and technology, Douglas Bush, reports Bloomberg.
“We have produced many types of weapons for Israel, from helicopters to artillery ammunition. But for now, none of this could directly compete with and interfere with what was already planned to be sent to Ukraine,” he said.
However, he noted that difficulties may arise. Bush noted that supplies to Ukraine come from existing US reserves. According to him, the army has only about one billion dollars left, which can be used to provide military aid to Kyiv from its own reserves.
Earlier, Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh called military assistance to Ukraine a smart investment in US national security and in preventing a possible larger war in Europe, while strengthening the US defense industrial base and creating skilled jobs.
