“We are still waiting for a response from the Russian side, but our US partners have received our suggestion with some interest,” said the head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, Andriy Yermak, at an event organized by the US think tank Atlantic Council.
“We are still waiting for the response from the Russian side, but our US partners have received our suggestion with some interest,” he added. “I think it is a proactive position, which involves Ukraine in the negotiation. If it is about discussing the security architecture in Europe, it is necessary to involve Ukraine,” he insisted.
The Ukrainian head of state already called for a quadripartite summit with Russia, France and Germany on Tuesday to “end the conflict” with the pro-Russian separatists in the east of his country.

Americans, Europeans and Ukrainians accuse Russia of having deployed nearly 100,000 soldiers on the border with a view to a possible invasion of the neighboring country.
Moscow denies having the intention to do so and affirms that it wants to defend itself from NATO’s eastward enlargement policy, which it considers a threat at its gates
