The survey, conducted by BSP Insights, a company specialized in global strategic analysis and studies, included 3,400 Arab youth between the ages of 18 and 24, in 50 cities across 17 countries, between June 6 and 30, 2021, and the survey sample was distributed equally among men. and women.
About half of the respondents (47 percent) chose the UAE as a preferred place to live, which is more than double the number that chose the United States, which came in second place according to the survey.
Almost the same percentage (46 percent) said that the UAE “is the country they want their countries to emulate”, followed by the United States (28 percent), then Canada and Germany (12 percent each), and France (11 percent).
When asked about the reason for choosing the UAE, about a third of the respondents (28 percent) indicated the country’s growing economy and the wide opportunities it provides, while the factors of a clean environment, security and safety and generous salary packages ranked high among the reasons mentioned by young people.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, commented on the results of the poll, in a tweet on his Twitter account.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said: “The latest study of Arab youth in 17 Arab countries for ASDA’A BCW showed that the UAE is the preferred country to live for 47 percent of Arab youth, followed by the United States (19 percent) and Canada 15 percent.”
And the ruler of Dubai continued, “We say that the UAE is everyone’s country and everyone’s home. Our experience will remain available to everyone, and our relations will remain positive with everyone.”
