The UAE was one of the first countries to support the brotherly Lebanese people during the Corona “Covid 19” pandemic, as it announced on August 6, 2020, the provision of urgent medical aid to Lebanon, which included 12 tons of examination devices and medical supplies to support medical teams and workers in the field of health services, By providing personal and preventive protective equipment and “Covid-19” diagnostic devices, as well as supporting preventive precautionary measures.
The UAE took the initiative to establish the “Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Emirati-Lebanese Hospital Center for Treating Corona Patients” as a specialized field hospital to deal with the infected, with a capacity of about 80 beds equipped with the latest medical devices and equipment.
On September 24, 2020, an aid ship operated by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority arrived in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, carrying 2,400 tons of relief needs, which included food, medical and nutritional supplements for children, sterilizers, means of prevention, and tools to mitigate the effects of the outbreak of the Covid pandemic. -19, on the Lebanese scene, along with various clothes.
