Internationally, Russia called on Israel to immediately withdraw its forces from Lebanon, warning that the attack would lead to a further escalation of violence in the Middle East.
Beijing urged Israel to take concrete steps to reduce the escalation. The Chinese Foreign Ministry said: We oppose attacks on Lebanon’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, and we reject any actions that exacerbate conflicts and lead to further escalation of the regional situation.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy said: “None of us wants to see a regional war. The price will be high for the Middle East and it will have a major impact on the global economy.”
Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albarez stressed the need to stop the ground incursion into southern Lebanon to avoid the situation developing into a conflict that includes the region.
The Italian government said that Rome, as the current president of the Group of Seven countries, will continue to work to reduce escalation in the Middle East region and reach a diplomatic solution to the crisis.

Türkiye condemned an illegal invasion attempt into Lebanon and called on Israel to withdraw its soldiers as soon as possible, expressing its fears of a new wave of immigration.
Meanwhile, the United Nations warned of the consequences of a large-scale ground invasion carried out by Israel in Lebanon, and the spokeswoman for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Liz Throssell, said in a press statement, “Armed violence between Israel and Hezbollah has escalated, and the consequences for civilians are essentially terrible.” », adding: We fear that a large-scale Israeli ground invasion of Lebanon will exacerbate the suffering.
She added that the Commission is very concerned about the expansion of hostilities in the Middle East and the fact that it threatens to drag the entire region into a humanitarian and human rights catastrophe.
The United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, said that violence is escalating to dangerous levels with strikes across Lebanon and incursions across the Blue Line, adding that the cycle of violence will not end well for either party.
UNIFIL stressed that any crossing into Lebanon constitutes a violation of its sovereignty, calling on all parties to refrain from escalatory actions.
