It will be difficult for Western political analysis methods to understand the map of the new Middle East and the real transformations that have been and are taking place since the United Arab Emirates decided to intervene as a sponsor, supporter and lead the new historical stage for the future of the Middle East countries, according to a vision based on tolerance and peace, combating terrorism and extremism, and liberating the region. Among the burdens of the regional conflicts that erupted after the “Arab Spring revolutions” and the emergence of ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood’s attempt to sow discord and division.
The Emirati plan for the future of the Middle East is not complicated. Rather, it is the ideal spirit for the use of diplomacy with its best tools and cases, not from the reality of retreat, but from the standpoint of strength and rivalry, and clarification of all elements of the agreement, such as the higher interests, strategic goals, the future of generations and peoples, and refraining from relying on other forces that did not determine their opinion and did not She knows her way around and is still floundering in her goals.
In the past weeks, and in light of this area’s expectations of the failure of the indirect talks in Vienna between Iran and the United States, we have made several successful calls for a summit that brings together the parties, including Iran, the United States, European countries, and the concerned countries in the Middle East to be in the same region and not in Vienna or elsewhere. And it will also be a gateway to start comprehensive talks that put at the top of their agenda the rapprochement of distances and viewpoints and research on the basic issue, which is the security of the Middle East through strengthening dialogue between all parties.
We will wait for the end of this month, August 2021, an Arab regional summit that will be held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and will be attended by the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Kuwait, America, European countries, as well as Syria and Qatar. The main file will be discussing the Iranian nuclear file as well as assistance in the reconstruction of Iraq and may also include Ending the conflict in Syria, its reconstruction and finding a way to calm the recently escalating Israeli-Iranian conflict and paving the way through indirect negotiations for a comprehensive peace agreement in the Middle East.
The success of the “Arab Regional Summit in Baghdad” is expected, and diplomacy will play an important role in opening the doors that have been closed for many years and discussing issues according to their real priorities. As for the results, they will be serious and have a multiplier effect, because the assembled countries know that this path and this summit may be the only way to salvation and the last historical opportunity that revives hope in the hearts of the peoples of the region.
I also mentioned, in similar expectations last week, that Iranian President-elect Ebrahim Raisi has a real plan stemming from his historical legal background based on justice to take positive steps towards resolving the regional conflict between Iran and the Arab and Gulf states. We were not surprised this week by declaring that “the UAE is a loyal friend” and saying: “We adhere to the spirit of sincere harmony towards the Emirati nation. The close relationship between the two governments can pave the way for brotherly relations and close cooperation between the two countries.”
We hope that the “Arab Regional Summit 2021” in Baghdad will be another gateway to finding a final solution in Yemen, stopping any operations of support and financing for the “Houthis” group against the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and pushing the “Houthis” through the United Nations’ attendance of the summit to a cease-fire in Yemen And accepting peace to save the Yemeni people from the brunt of war, hunger and disease, which will also contribute to expanding the common ground between the Gulf states and Iran, as well as between the countries of the Middle East in general.
The UAE holds the banner of diplomacy and peace, believing in its noble vision and strategic goals, which will not only secure security, stability, peace, growth and economic development for the people of the UAE, but will also secure it for the peoples and generations of the Middle East, and their prosperous and bright future.
