Al Jaber headed an Emirati delegation to visit the Sultanate of Oman, with the participation of a number of government agencies and private sector companies.
This visit comes within the fraternal and strategic relations between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman, and to explore opportunities for joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries, and to expand partnership horizons at all governmental and private levels, especially in the sectors of industry, advanced technology, quality infrastructure and others.
Al-Jaber conveyed the greetings of the leadership in the UAE to the leadership in the Sultanate of Oman, stressing the depth of the brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries, which are based on close historical ties, cooperation, integration and the development of common interests, which were established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and it continues to grow and progress under the leaderships of the two countries.
The activities of the visit included meetings that brought together the Emirati and Omani business and industry sectors, in the presence of officials from the Oman Investment Authority, the Public Authority for Economic and Free Zones in the Sultanate, and the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), in addition to a meeting with representatives of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Sultanate of Oman is among the top 10 trading partners of the UAE, with a trade exchange volume of 172 billion dirhams from 2017 to 2020, which represents about 2.7 percent of the UAE’s total foreign trade during this period, with a compound annual growth rate of about 5.7 percent. .
