NASA announces on March 12 as the release date of the CREW-10 missionwhich will rescue the two astronauts, Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, stranded at the International Space Station (EEI) after several postponements of their return to Earth.
William and Wilmore arrived at the US in June; The objective of the crew was to test the integral capabilities of the special vehicle, including launching, coupling and return systems. Stranded astronauts
Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are the two NASA astronauts who arrived at the Space Station in June 2024. His stay in the same had to last only ten days, but due to technical problems, the Starliner capsule in which they had arrived had to return to Earth without them.
In December, NASA announced that Williams and Wilmore, along with Nick Hague and Aleksandr Gorbunov, who had reached the US three months later, would return after the arrival of the CREW-10 mission. Spacex, Elon Musk company, had to plan the astronauts stranded to return in February aboard the Crew Dragon rocket. However, NASA reported that the plan would be postponed by the end of March 2025.
The EEI received two replenishment flights in November, which guarantees that the crew has sufficient food, water, clothing and oxygen. At the end of January, Sunita Williams completed her ninth space walk, with a duration of 5 hours and 26 minutes, the woman occupies the fourth place in the list of personnel with more time dedicated to extravehicular activities.
CREW-10 anticipated launch
On February 11, NASA issued a new statement announced that the launch of CREW-10 is now scheduled for March 12. Leading to the crew aboard the Dragon ship.
