The Federal government and the Federation of Trade Unions of State Service Workers agreed to an increase of 5.4 percent in the base salary and the sum of economic benefits for around 700 thousand administrative and general services public servants.
The national leader of the FSTSE Central, Joel Ayala Almeida, indicated that the increase in salary and economic benefits will be paid retroactively as of January 1, 2021, as part of the salary adjustment that will benefit workers grouped in the operational branch , which includes administrative and general services.
In this way, workers with lower perceptions will benefit as a strategic formula with a higher percentage.
He recognized the response of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador when evaluating the advances, according to his nation project, which means supporting the demands demanded by the workers. Given this, he said, “we reiterate the solidarity and ordinance of the head of the institutions of the Republic, expressed in a timely manner in the decree issued by the Ministry of Public Function, for compliance with the Health Protection Insurance” for returning workers to work.
Ayala Almeida explained that “dialogue, agreement and agreements remain firm in favor of the workers, which has resulted in gradual advances that improve income conditions, reducing the wage gap as a fundamental part of the wage increase.”
In this way, the will of the federal government is ratified to continue promoting training for workers in the service of the State, obtaining 1,900 monthly, which are part of the ISSSTE and Fovissste, which affects the total benefits established in the law .
The agreements between the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and the FSTSE also contemplate the benefit called Pantry Aid, which increases to 1,85 pesos per month.
Regarding the Transportation Aid, this amounts to 880 pesos per month, the Aid for Services goes to 745 pesos per month and, with respect to the Multiple Social Security benefit, it will reach 775 pesos per month.
Regarding the concept of End-of-Year Economic Stimuli (pantry vouchers), Ayala Almeida pointed out that the increase will be announced in November of the current year.
Therefore, they highlighted the effort of the federal government at this stage in which the conditions of economic equilibrium in public finances do not necessarily exist, observing an economic contraction.
In this sense, he made it clear that the employment relationship with the government has as a fundamental premise the permanence in employment, enforcing, at all times and in compliance with the law, job stability with comprehensive social security, guaranteed labor rights, as well as full respect for union autonomy.
