The traffic police of the North-Eastern District carried out a “security dorhanger” action: service employees attached reminders to the handles of parked cars about the importance of observing road safety. This was announced on Wednesday, August 25, by the press service of the Moscow State Traffic Safety Inspectorate.
“The traffic police visited the residential yard to attach unusual leaflets to the handles of car doors with reminders of road safety and compliance with speed limits in courtyards,” the traffic police post on Instagram said.
On August 18, the State Traffic Inspectorate analyzed and identified the most dangerous accidents that have occurred in Moscow since the beginning of the year. Among the violations that have become concomitant causes of accidents with serious consequences, there were non-observance of the distance, violation of the rules of passage of pedestrian crossings, inadequacy of speed to specific conditions, non-observance of the sequence of passage and violation of the requirements of traffic lights.
On August 17, it became known that the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) became the most hazardous highway in the capital in 2021.
For seven months of this year, 379 road accidents occurred on the Moscow Ring Road, which is 6.8% less than in the same period in 2020. In these accidents, the number of road users who died decreased by 38.3%, and the number of injured – by 13.7%.
