The Moscow Department of Transport has changed the traffic pattern on the territory of the Moscow City business center. There were pedestrian areas, taxi stands and boarding areas at each building.
In addition, two new trunk routes, m31 and m32, were launched next to City at an interval of 10 minutes. They connected the business center with metro stations of neighboring lines and provided new opportunities for movement around the Presnensky District. Electric buses m31 go to Krasnopresnenskaya metro station, and m32 to Belorusskaya via Ulitsa 1905 goda metro station.
Dedicated lanes for public transport also appeared on Testovskaya Street and in 1st Krasnogvardeisky Proyezd. Both new routes and existing ones move along them. They transport about 2.5 thousand people daily. The introduction of dedicated lanes made it possible to save up to 5 minutes on each flight.
For taxis in “Moscow-City” there are 15 parking lots with 79 parking spaces. Landing sites are allocated to special numbered zones near each tower. Thus, when ordering a car in the attachment to the selected point on the map, it will be easier for the driver to find the passenger.
For the most comfortable movement between the towers on both sides of the Afimall City shopping center, new pedestrian zones have appeared. Two graffiti appeared on the new pedestrian zones. One of them is a 3D subway train. This is a creative sign: this is where the Solntsevskaya metro line runs. Almost under the feet of pedestrians at a depth of 30 m is the Delovoy Tsentr station. And the second drawing in the style of abstract art will help pedestrians to understand that there are no cars in this area.
For cars in “Moscow City” there are more than 15 thousand parking spaces in the public underground parking of the Afimall City shopping center, as well as in the underground and ground parking of the towers and Novotel.
Drive-through to some towers is no longer available. For quick embarkation and disembarkation of passengers, there are 12 short-term stop zones with 72 seats, they are located as close as possible to the entrances to the towers. Stopping time in such areas is no more than five minutes.
Moscow City is a large business, shopping and entertainment center, where more than 140 thousand people come every day. Of these, 97 thousand – by public transport, 12 thousand – by taxi and 30 thousand – by car. It is important that it is convenient, fast and safe for both pedestrians and other road users to move around the business center.
