GfK shared the ranking of best-selling physical games In the United Kingdom in the last week. The Top 10 – which as we already knew is led by Paper Mario – is made up as follows:
- Paper Mario: The Millennial Portal
- Hogwarts Legacy
- EA Sports FC 24
- Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate
- Minecraft (Switch)
- LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
- Football Manager 2024
The most important names in the best-selling list
In addition to the first position of Paper Mario: The Millennial Portalwhich was released on 23 May, the Top 10 best-selling games in the UK are made up of well-known names who return frequently to the charts.
We have for example the evergreen Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Minecraft, as well as Electronic Arts’ annual football sports game. Big games like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga are always good.
Even Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the most recent 2D platformer dedicated to Nintendo’s plumber, continues to remain in the highest positions of the Top 10, proving that it has all it takes to continue selling even after so many months. Not that that’s a strange thing for Nintendo games, of course.
Outside the ranking, in eleventh position, we find instead System Shock in the console version, which failed to achieve particular success on its debut. Clearly these data are partial, given that they do not include digital ones, but they give an idea of what the average level of interest of the English public is in this period.
