The IIHF kept silent about the titles of the Russian team during the broadcast of the World Championship

In the middle of the first period of the match between the national teams of Sweden and the USA (5:2), the Russians were not shown among the three most titled national teams in the history of the World Championships. The Russian team became world champion five times. The USSR team has 22 titles.
The 2024 Ice Hockey World Championship takes place in Prague and Ostrava, Czech Republic, from May 10 to 26. The national teams of Russia and Belarus will miss the tournament due to sanctions from the IIHF.
