The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority in the Sultanate of Oman announced today, Tuesday, that no casualties were recorded due to heavy rains and the flow of valleys in the country, stressing that it has taken all legal measures towards those who endanger themselves and others, such as some people swimming in dangerous places and waiting for the arrival of the valleys.
The authority said, in a press statement, reported by the Oman News Agency, that its teams in the South Al Batinah Governorate support the concerned authorities to open the paths of roads damaged by heavy rains and the flow of valleys, and harness its capabilities and capabilities to protect citizens, residents and visitors to the Sultanate of Oman.
She pointed out that the rescue teams dealt yesterday, Monday, with 12 reports about the detention of people in vehicles in the wadi streams in the governorates of (North Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliya, Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi), revealing that 13 people were rescued from the streams of the valleys, all of whom are in good health.
The authority warned of the continued chances of convective clouds forming today and tomorrow over the Hajar Mountains and the neighboring areas, with chances of thunderstorms of varying intensity, accompanied by the flow of valleys that are sometimes torrential.
