Deputy Piskarev: Western provocations at Moscow and St. Petersburg elections failed
State Duma deputy Vasily Piskarev spoke about the failure of Western provocations in the elections in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other regions of Russia. His statement was reported by TASS.
According to the deputy, the elections were held in full compliance with Russian laws, despite attempts by Western countries to conduct provocative campaigns.
Piskarev holds the post of head of the State Duma commission investigating facts of interference of foreign states in the internal affairs of Russia.
On September 8, the Russian Federation is holding a Single Voting Day, which includes elections for the heads of 25 federal subjects, as well as elections at the regional and municipal levels. Earlier, Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova told how the Single Voting Day is being held in border regions.
