Ukraine should make plans that could contribute to the implementation of the Minsk agreements, the country should quickly begin to restore ties with Russia. This was announced by a member of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Adalbi Shkhagoshev.
Thus, he commented on the statement of the adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, the press secretary of the Ukrainian delegation in the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass, Oleksiy Arestovich. He said that Kiev, together with foreign partners, has developed plans for a large-scale defense operation in the event of a full-scale conflict with Russia.
“Regarding all these plans, they must build a different plan that could contribute to the implementation of the Minsk agreements. This is the only way in the long term for the survival of Ukraine as a state, as a country, ”Shkhagoshev stressed.
At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that the Russian side in this matter “has nothing to answer”, while Ukraine should quickly begin to restore relations with the Russian Federation, reports “RIA News“.
Earlier, on November 1, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed out that the Ukrainian authorities are trying to create a provocative situation and drag Moscow into military action. The minister also stressed that Russia does not withdraw from the meeting in the Normandy format, but noted that Moscow does not need a meeting for the sake of a meeting.
On the same day, Arestovich noted that if a full-scale war was unleashed, the Russian Armed Forces would not be able to defeat the army of Ukraine. According to him, the economic danger for Kiev is much more terrible than a military offensive.
As Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, noted on October 26, the statements of Ukrainian politicians about their readiness to launch a missile strike on the Russian Federation and start a war cause concern. According to her, anti-Russian statements on a variety of topics have long been fashionable in Ukraine.
