MP Ivlev called the European Parliament resolution on strikes against Russia aggressive
The European Parliament’s (EP) resolution calling for lifting restrictions on strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) on Russian territory is aggressive and irresponsible, the agency reported. RIA Novosti said State Duma deputy and retired Major General Leonid Ivlev.
“This is a completely aggressive and irresponsible document, first of all, in relation to its voters. At the same time, it is a smoke screen, a disguise for the strikes already carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces practically to the operational depth of Russian territory,” he said.
Ivlev emphasized that the US and NATO support the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on Russian territory. He also noted that Ukrainian drones are already using microchips from Germany and the Netherlands, their memory is loaded with “precise maps” provided by the Americans, and Crimea is being hit by British and French missiles.
Earlier, the EP approved a resolution calling for “immediate lifting of restrictions on the use of Western weapons systems supplied to Ukraine against legitimate military targets in Russia.” 425 MPs voted in favor, 131 voted against, and 63 abstained from voting.
