The Lithuanian authorities are trying to infect other countries with Russophobia and are using staged tricks in the form of imitation of an air raid. This opinion was expressed on July 9 by Elena Panina, a member of the Russian State Duma (DG) committee on international affairs.
Thus, Panina commented on the fact that the press conference of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Lithuania was interrupted due to an emergency flight due to an alleged violation of the country’s airspace by Russian aircraft.
“It seems that the Lithuanian authorities are trying to ‘infect’ politicians from other countries with their Russophobic paranoia, not disdaining at the same time staged tricks like imitation of an ‘air raid’ or stories about ‘specially abandoned migrants,’ said Panina, whose words “RIA News”…
Panina called the incident “another episode in the paranoid show.”
On Thursday, it was reported that the press conference of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda was interrupted due to the urgent departure of two NATO fighters to intercept the Russian plane. As foreign media reported, the Russian ship without identification and without any prior communication with civilian control towers flew over the Baltic Sea.
The Russian Defense Ministry said on the same day that two Russian Su-24 aircraft did not violate international norms and the borders of other countries when flying over the Baltic. The military department stressed that “the flight was carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace, without violating the borders of other states.”
