Verónica Toussaint opted for Tennis, a discipline that she left at the age of 14 to dedicate herself to Athletics, since she had the desire to participate in Long Jump. She ‘Vero’ she practiced for five years, because that began to define her as a person when she realized that she would not have a future in Athletics.
«Rain, shine or shine, I was already training and competing, for me the discipline of sport was what I liked to do. I trained from the age of 14 to 19, that’s when I entered Anahuah University and I said: “Since I’m doing Athletics, I’m not going to get anywhere,” he said in an interview with Gustavo Adolfo Infante.
«It was very entertaining because I also understood the world of sport, the world of government support for sport and why we do not succeed as a sporting power because there is no support but nevertheless Mexican athletes are the ones who work, they get on the bus, “They travel tremendous distances to go to train, it is with a lot of heart, however today they do not have the necessary conditions,” added Verónica Toussaint.
By turning his life around, ‘Vero’ found a better life in communication, standing out on television. She dedicated herself to hosting, acting, dabbled in dubbing and became a woman that posterity will remember as an example of life and with an indelible smile.
Verónica Toussaint died at the age of 48 due to breast cancer, a disease that was detected in 2021. May she rest in peace.
