Those arrested, several of them belonging to the same family, face alleged crimes against public health and criminal organization
An instruction court in Lorca ordered this Friday the entry into provisional prison of the six residents of Águilas who were arrested this week as part of a national coup against drug trafficking, according to sources close to the case. These arrests are part of a much broader operation that a Jaén court instructs and that led to up to 19 arrests in different parts of the country such as Granada, Jaén and Málaga.
In Águilas, specifically, the activity of the Meritorious researchers was deployed in different parts of the municipality such as Paseo de la Estación, Las Lomas and the district of Calabardina. The agents strove to search up to seven homes in which, according to sources close to the case, small amounts of cocaine, cutting substances and a scale were seized. Agents are also investigating a tattoo business owned by one of the defendants.
Those arrested, several of them belonging to the same family, face alleged crimes against public health and criminal organization. The detainees are being defended by lawyers Eduardo Simó and Ángel Parra.
