The Simpsons, the famous animated television series, sent a message of peace and support to Ukraine after what has happened in recent days in relation to the conflict with Russia. Homer Simpson and his family, created by Matt Groening, showed themselves in favor of the nation led by Volodymyr Zelensky through an illustration.
The publication, made this February 25 on Twitter, shows Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie holding some Ukrainian flags.

Also, very distant from their characteristic expressions in the Disney series, the five characters appear showing a serious expression.
The only funny thing about the image is that one of the flags comes out of Marge Simpson’s head, whose colors are curiously related to those of Ukraine.

The unfortunate prediction of The Simpsons
Before Vladimir Putin confirmed that Russia would launch a “special military operation” in Ukraine last Thursday, some users noted that The Simpsons had once again predicted the future.
A chapter from 1988 portrayed in a certain way what was happening at that time and the unfortunate coincidence spread on social networks did not go unnoticed by Al Jean, showrunner of the animated series.

For Jean, it is a “very sad” coincidence which for obvious reasons is not funny at all.
“I hate to say it, but I was born in 1961, so 30 years of my life were spent with the specter of the Soviet Union. So for me, this is sadly more the norm than a prediction. We just thought things were going to go wrong,” he explained.
