Living abroad and earning more money by migrating is one of the goals of many citizens. Canada, the United States and some European countries have become the preferred destinations for hundreds of Latinos seeking a better quality of life and better salaries in their trades or in other professions.
Many wonder how true it is that the salary is much better in countries like Canada, even in jobs such as picking fruit or serving restaurants.

Well, a Mexican went viral on the TikTok social network after making it public his experience working in Canada as a cherry picker.
The user, identified as Walter Enciso, shared in his account that he receives a high salary that, when returned to Mexico, would allow him to “live like a king” for a year. How much does he earn?
The salary for picking cherries
Enciso shared that his job is to collect cherries and fill boxes of between 20 and 25 pounds with this fruit, a job for which he receives a daily salary that can be between 2,500 and 3,000 Mexican pesos. In Colombian pesos, this value is equivalent to between 555,000 and 666,000 pesos per day.
The man compared the salary he earns in one day picking cherries with that earned by some young people who remain in Mexico and who decide to work in well-known companies such as Zara or McDonald’s.

According to his video, a person who works at McDonal’s in Mexico can earn 23.60 Mexican pesos (more or less 5,200 Colombian pesos) per hour, which means that by completing an eight-hour workday, he earns an average of 200 pesos per day. Mexicans (44,400 Colombian pesos).
“My advice? Come to Canada. Work here. I am in the pinch of cherries. And it’s basically collecting these fruits,” the man said in his TikTok video.
The user also shared that the salary earned picking cherries is the one given to a person without experience for the job.
Thus, someone with more experience can earn double or triple what he receives in a day, that is, between 6,000 and 9,000 Mexican pesos a day.

For this reason, the man recommended that Latin Americans migrate to that country and forget about the office salaries that are paid in various countries in the region.
“They do not ask you for anything of age. Can come. To work. You make the money in three or four months to live very well in Mexico for a whole year”, he concluded.

It should be noted that Canada has higher salaries, but in turn the spending of its citizens is higher. It is worth reviewing very well the opportunities offered by said country and finding the one that best suits your possibilities and needs.
