The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center participated for the second time in the activities of the fourth session of the “Aqdar World Summit”, which was held this year under the slogan “Positive Global Citizenship – Enabling Sustainable Investment Opportunities”, during the period from 24 to 30 October 2021 AD, at the Dubai Exhibition Center (Expo 2020 AD). ), where the center’s participation in this summit comes as a cultural partner.
The center’s participation in the summit activities included a workshop presented by Amina Al Hammadi, head of the cultural tours department at the center, entitled: “Positive Citizenship: Evidence and Pictures from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque”, within four main axes, where the first axis dealt with the authenticity of the concepts of positive citizenship established by the father The founder, “May God rest his soul,” in the society of the United Arab Emirates.
The second axis touched on the Center’s embodiment of positive citizenship concepts, through the presented programs, concerned with preparing a generation characterized by positive Emirati personality traits, including the Ibn al-Dar program and the Small Cultural Guide.
The third axis presented vivid images of positive citizenship manifested in the mosque’s practices, and what it provides to the millions who visit it annually from different cultures of the world, under the supervision of an elite group of people who reflect in their features the bright image of the son of the Emirates, his culture and ability to communicate with everyone in the framework of tolerance coexistence and respect.
As for the fourth axis, it highlighted the reflection of the positive spirit of citizenship in the mosque by consolidating its position on the world tourism map, as one of the best cultural destinations in the world.
The center’s participation was also represented in a pavilion reviewing its pivotal role in conveying the civilized image of the United Arab Emirates, and the spirit, images and messages of positive citizenship its programs, activities and events carry. An interactive journey that takes them on a virtual journey between its impressive architectural details and unique collectibles, in addition to screens displaying the most prominent exhibitions organized by the center within the framework of its cultural role, such as the exhibition “Hajj: A Journey in Memory” and the exhibition “Islamic Coins: A History Revealed.”
The platform of the mosque at the summit witnessed a wide turnout from various cultures of the world, where the visitors of the platform were briefed on the mosque’s message in promoting tolerance and coexistence between cultures, which embodies the vision and values of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.
