The players of the bow and arrow team launched their preparations in the preparatory camp at the Police Academy in the Emirate of Sharjah, in two shifts, morning and evening, as part of the stage of preparation for the upcoming events that await the team.
The preparatory camp falls within the plan of the Federation’s Board of Directors to prepare champions who have the ability to achieve external achievements, to confirm the stage of development achieved by the national team in the past participations. Various trainings are also held at the club level in the country, within the framework of the common visions between the Federation and the clubs.
The next stage will witness important international, continental and regional competitions, including the Asian Games from June 2 to 11, and the World Championship in Berlin from July 29 to August 7. Tunisia will also host the Arab Championship in its 12th edition for the categories “men, women and youth.” Young Women »from April 25 to May 1, as well as the Slovenian Championship from May 12 to 14.
At the local level, an indoor tournament will be held from June 5 to 6, in addition to the national team tests scheduled for June 23 to 25.
Adel Al-Hammadi, a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the National Teams Committee, confirmed that the Bow and Arrow Federation, led by Dr. Saeed Musabah Al-Kaabi, consolidates its sustainable efforts to develop the game, design constructive initiatives that promote the establishment of motivating standards for developing the skills of male and female players, and enhance their capabilities to create champions who represent the country in external forums, according to the statement. He said, “Participation in foreign tournaments enhances the trends that support giving all elements field experience and professional competence, which paves the way for a better future for this game.”
Adel Raja, Technical Director of the federation, explained that the training camp is an opportunity to enhance the readiness of all elements before moving to the atmosphere of official competitions, especially as the game is developing according to best practices, through the federation’s keenness to adopt programs that pave the way for reaching the best outputs.
He said: We in the federation have an integrated plan in order to reach the desired goals, and we work through these programs to raise the level of preparation for male and female players, and we proceed from a strong ground that has placed the game at distinct levels, especially when we realize that Emirati women in the bow and arrow have reached the top of the Arab rankings. In addition to the strong results achieved recently in the international and Arab championships in Iraq.
