During its meeting, the Council discussed a group of topics on its agenda, related to following up on the progress of government work and the performance of government departments and bodies, based on its endeavor to advance all sectors and reflect on social, economic and other life.
The Council approved the launch of the Model Farms Guide, which aims to enhance the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah in achieving healthy food security free of substances harmful to health and the environment, encourage community members to start sustainable agricultural projects, establish entrepreneurs in the field of productive agriculture, prepare them for professional agriculture, and support emerging farms, as The guide works to reduce the burden on farmers and consider it a reference for emerging entrepreneurs and those interested in agricultural production, in addition to raising awareness and education about the importance of agriculture and the sustainability of the agricultural production journey.
The Council also approved an agreement to operate the mass passenger transport service between the Emirate of Sharjah and the Governorate of Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, which comes from the standpoint of strengthening and developing joint cooperation between the two sides to serve the logistics sector. According to the agreement to be signed between the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority and the Omani National Transport Company “Mwasalat”, mass transportation service will be provided and daily trips will be operated from Al Jubail Station in Sharjah to Al Azaiba Bus Station in Muscat and vice versa.
The Council approved the exemption of 102 pioneering projects supported by the Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Pioneer Projects “Ruwad” by 50% of government agency fees for a period of two years, with a total value of 1.086 million dirhams, from various types of economic activities distributed across all cities and regions of the emirate.
