The stored water reserves are still far from the average of the last ten years, but they have prevented the basin from going into alert
With an abundant rate of rainfall on the Mediterranean slope, the water reserve of the Segura basin stands at 41.8% of its capacity, one point more than last week, while the Júcar reservoirs remain at the same level seven days ago, at 63%. According to data from the Ministry for Ecological Transition, the Segura reservoirs store 477 cubic hectometres, 12 more than last week, but they are still below last year (497 hm3) and the average of the last ten years (560 hm3). ). However, the recovery has so far removed the specter of restrictions in the basin.
At the state level, the reservoirs have added 390 cubic hectometres this week, which represents 0.7% of their total capacity, according to data from the Ministry, which reports that the water reserve reaches 27,224 cubic hectometres, so they rise to 48.5% of its full capacity. Despite this increase, the reservoirs hold 28.72% less water than the average for the decade and 21.97% less than on the same dates a year ago.

The rains return to the Region, which today will be on yellow alert in coastal municipalities and in the Guadalentín region
Transfer of 27 hm3
The Tagus demarcation has 5,393 hectometers, far from the 7,669 last year at this time. The Entrepeñas and Buendía System, which supplies the Diversion, continues in a normal hydrological situation, since it has 717 hectometres, for which the Ministry will most likely give the green light to another unloading of 27 cubic hectometres for supply demands and crops of the Segura this month.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts for today yellow level adverse phenomena due to rains and storms that may affect the regions of Valle del Guadalentín, Lorca, Águilas, Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón. The alert, which will be in force from 00:00 to 15:00, warns that up to 20 liters per square meter can accumulate in just one hour.
