The second plane of three sides, evacuating citizens from Afghanistan, landed at the Chkalovsky airfield in the Moscow region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Wednesday, December 1.
Now the evacuees are undergoing border and anti-canopy control, as well as customs inspection.
Earlier on the same day, it was reported that the Chkalovsky airport in the Moscow region received the first of three aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Defense Ministry with evacuees on board. The evacuation was the third in a row. In total, the planes of military transport aviation will take out more than 380 citizens, including residents of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, as well as Afghan students of Russian universities.
On the morning of December 1, planes of the Russian Ministry of Defense, consisting of three aircraft, arrived in Kabul and delivered 36 tons of humanitarian cargo to the Afghan capital. Each plane had a supply of drinking water, blankets and individual rations for the evacuees.
The evacuation was organized on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin by Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu. For the export of citizens from Afghanistan, an aviation group of three military transport aircraft was created. They flew from the Chkalovsky airfield to Kabul and back.
On November 18, Russian planes evacuated more than 200 citizens of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Ukraine and Afghanistan. The evacuees were accompanied by military medics from the medical and nursing brigades.
