Day of calendars for the FIA. The World Automobile Council has in fact ratified the dates of all 2022 competitions, including those of Formula E, which as expected will start from Diriyah (Saudi Arabia) on January 28, after the success of last season’s inaugural night race. The full-electric championship will then head to Mexico City. No longer to Cape Town: South Africa has in fact disappeared from the calendar. For now, the return of the FIA to this country after 28 years has vanished. Back (but the appointment is to be confirmed) the China, where 100% electric cars will whiz in March 2022 before landing in Rome And Monk, with the race in the Principality that will become a fixed stop on the Formula E calendar after the enormous success of the Monaco ePrix in May and the agreement with the Automobile Club of Monaco.
Berlin, the only city that has hosted an ePrix during every season in Formula E history, returns to the traditional May event, followed by two new entries: Jakarta (which should have started in 2020, but the pandemic prevented it) e Vancouver. With the Canadian stage the championship moves overseas and approaches the Big Apple. Just starting from New York ePrix, will begin a series of double appointments that will continue with the competitions at the ExCeL of London and will conclude with the thrilling season finale in Seoul, with two races on the iconic circuit of the South Korean capital which will also include the Olympic stadium.
