The educational centers of the three districts most affected by the storm will remain closed
The City Council recommends traveling to educational centers by public transport or on foot.
The schools and institutes in the city of Valencia will resume teaching activity this Monday, with the exception of those located in the districts of La Torre, Castellar-Oliveral and Horno de Alcedo, affected by the DANA. Classes had been suspended since Wednesday.
This has been decided by the City Council of the capital of Turia, while they continue with the recovery work in the area after the floods last Tuesday. Although it appears that some educational centers in these districts have no damage, the decision has been made to carry out an inspection with the firefighters before returning to normal.
The council recommends traveling to educational centers by public transport, by bicycle or on foot and avoid traveling by private vehicle within the urban area as much as possible.
In this sense, the mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá, has announced the launch of a police device to control access to the city in a day that is expected to be complicated.
In addition, he has asked for “understanding” because there will be teachers who will not be able to travel to their educational center, so the management teams will be in charge of filling any vacancies that may exist.
