The scandal continues in the Union Magdañenaunleashed after it became known that several footballers are being investigated for a case of alleged match-fixing through illegal betting.
After the information emerged in the media, the departure of two of the footballers supposedly linked to the investigation has already been reported.
First, Unión announced that it ended its contractual relationship with the player. Déiver José Vegawithout giving details of the decision.
The footballer subsequently issued a statement in which he denied having any illegal involvement and announced that he would take measures to defend his good name.
This Tuesday Unión Magdalena reported the departure of a second player, it is the soccer player Yulián Guerrero Acosta.
“The Club UNIÓN MAGDALENA SA is permitted to inform journalists, media, fans and public opinion in general that the player ALAIN YULIAN GUERRERO ACOSTA ended his employment relationship with our institution,” says the club.
At the time, the Blu Radio Sports Blog program revealed that eight players were separated from the professional squad: they were Efraín Ustariz, Cristian Bernardo Baldovino, José Mercado, Alain Guerrero, Arneth David González, Daiver Vega, Juan Carlos del Río and a player surname Serrano. Two of them have already left the club.

Meanwhile, the team issued a statement denouncing a media outlet for leaking information related to the investigation.
