The head of the Austrian tourism office in Russia, Herald Bem, explained the new rules for entering the country after the lifting of anti-COVID restrictions for travelers. His words lead the portal Tourdom.
According to the latest data, from February 22, Russians will be able to visit Austria without going through quarantine, presenting a negative PCR test result. However, according to Bem, this is not entirely true.

As follows from the results of the press conference of the Ministry of Tourism on the easing of security measures in the field of leisure and travel, it is not yet known whether the Russians will actually be able to enter Austria without quarantine.
It is also noted that from February 19, the “3P” system (vaccinated, recovered or tested) will begin to operate in the country. Tourism Minister Elisabeth Kestinger said this will make Austria a more attractive destination for tourists from nearby and far away.
Earlier it was reported that from February 22, Austria will allow Russians to enter the country on a negative PCR test. In addition, travelers will be able to enter unhindered if they present at the border a certificate of past coronavirus or a certificate of vaccination with a drug approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or the World Health Organization (WHO).
