The police found and detained a 67-year-old resident of the Bryansk region Valentin Tsukanov, who shot the policeman with a pistol. It is reported by Telegram-channel SHOT.
A previously convicted man was caught near the village of Frolovka. He walked along the road through the forest. He was spotted by a passing patrol. Tsukanov tried to hide when the police appeared, but he was quickly caught up. He offered no resistance during the arrest.
The pistol from which the Russian seriously wounded a major of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was not found with Tsukanov; there were apples and medicines in his bag.
On the evening of October 20, on Kirov Street in the village of Belye Berega, Tsukanov shot several times at the district police officer, Police Major Artyom Ermakov, who was on vacation and came to his home. He was wounded in the shoulder, lower back and abdomen and was hospitalized. Before the operation, Ermakov told law enforcement officers that he had brought Tsukanov’s wife to administrative responsibility for the sale of moonshine. And the woman added that her husband had developed mental problems over the past year, which is why she left him. Tsukanov repeatedly told her that he was going to kill the major.
On the territory of the Bryansk region, the “Intercept” plan was introduced to capture Tsukanov. Rosgvardia used drones to search for an armed fugitive.
Police seized a Makarov pistol and a German sapper shell without a fuse from Tsukanov’s house. Tsukanov was convicted of poaching in 1997.
