It is difficult to determine the exact number of animals living in the two-room apartment: dogs have not been seen on a walk since last year. But the endless barking makes it clear that there are at least five dogs living at home. As the neighbors recall, just a year ago there was only one pet in the apartment. Shortly after the second dog arrived, puppies followed. According to the townspeople, there was no attempt to distribute them. “I heard from neighbors that some time ago they were somehow forced to give up at least some of their dogs. They took seven out of nine,” said a resident of the house. Breeders promise to sterilize dogs only in words. Since then, the smell of ammonia and moldy leather has been wafting through the landing.

Directly below the dog owner’s apartment there was a Wildberries delivery point. Although the marketplace explained that they moved out “for work reasons,” they admitted that they were aware of the situation on the floor above. So, out of necessity, their plumber visited the apartment – he didn’t last long there. Now a cosmetology salon is moving into their place.
According to neighbors, a man lives in the apartment; his son and daughter periodically visit him. They react indifferently to the request to take the dogs out, making excuses by saying that they themselves do not live here. The management company cannot influence problem residents. The owners contacted the police twice, but their complaints remained unmoved. Neither Rospotrebnadzor nor the State Duma were interested in the situation.
Previously, a resident of another Russian city, Chelyabinsk, had fifty cats in her apartment, forcing her elderly mother and son to move out. The pensioner contacted the local ombudsman.
