The head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Kamchatka, Kumarkov, called budget tourists “a beggarly locust”
The head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kamchatka Territory, Aleksey Kumarkov, called budget tourists “a roaming locust”, disagreeing with the calculations of Olga Sanaeva, vice-president of the Russian Union of Tourism Industry, who estimated the cost of a week-long tour to Kamchatka at 45,000 rubles. About it informs portal astv.ru.
The travel industry union previously said that the Russians had a “unique opportunity to visit the Kamchatka Territory.” It was clarified that the cost of the tour with flights, accommodation and meals will be budget. According to the Russian minister, such tours do not bring any benefit to the region’s economy.
According to Kumarkov, tourists in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky can only “swallow saliva looking at the price tags” for 45 thousand rubles. “Why do we need this? What will be the use for the economy and nature of Kamchatka if locusts of beggarly bag-bags rush here, huddling for every ruble? – said the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the region.
Kumarkov’s outburst attracted the attention of the regional governor Vladimir Solodov. AT TelegramOn the channel, he wrote that the official behaved unworthily. “Kumarkov used frankly boorish epithets in relation to people seeking to organize their holidays at reasonable prices with savings for the family budget. I think that such statements are unacceptable for the minister and, of course, do not correspond to the position of the Kamchatka Territory,” Solodov said.
They already wanted to check the Kamchatka Minister of Ecology for compliance with the “ethics of a civil servant.”
Earlier, the governor of Kurgan, Vadim Shumkov, said that he considers tolerance to be an indecent concept. He associated the meaning of the word with “something of sexual seduction”.
