Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the allocation of funds to support residents of the Republic of Crimea affected by summer floods. On Saturday, October 16, reports press service cabinet.
“We are talking about reimbursement of funds from the regional budget aimed at providing one-time material assistance, as well as payments in connection with partial or complete loss of property. Almost 4 thousand people were able to receive such assistance, ”the message says.
As specified in the press service, the Ministry of Emergency Situations will take over the control over the efficiency of spending the federal budget funds. The corresponding report must be submitted by February 1, 2022.
At the same time, it is noted that in September the government has already provided financial assistance to the Crimeans. So, residents who lost their homes due to floods were sent almost 400 million rubles.
In August, several regions of Crimea faced massive flooding as a result of heavy rains. So, on August 13, about 100 houses and 200 plots were in the flooded zone in four settlements of the Crimea due to heavy rainfall in recent days.
In the same month, Russian President Vladimir Putin indicated the need to consider the idea of introducing compulsory property insurance in areas that are legally considered flooded areas.
