Expert Chekurova: by the end of the year the ruble will fall in price to 93 rubles per dollar
By the end of 2024, the Russian currency will drop to 93 rubles per dollar. About it RIA News said General Director of the Expert RA rating agency Marina Chekurova during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Her statement is quoted by the agency “Prime”.
According to her, the ruble will fall in price, but not much. Both the good foreign trade situation and high rates on ruble instruments will have an impact. Thus, if the exchange rate of the Russian currency is expected to change, it will be very moderate.
It was previously reported that in the first months of summer the Bank of Russia will increase sales of foreign currency, and the ruble, in response to this policy, will strengthen slightly. However, in the long term, experts expect a decrease in export revenues and a gradually growing demand for foreign currency. As a result, this will lead to a weakening of the ruble.
There is also a forecast that in June the dollar exchange rate in Russia could reach 87.3-94.3 rubles, while the euro will trade between 94 and 101 rubles, and the yuan at 12.1-13 rubles. First of all, the future of the Russian currency will depend on the decision of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on the key rate, the value of the dollar on international markets and the policy of the US Federal Reserve.
