The Spanish Royal House will report to the Chilean Police the dissemination this week of photographs of Princess Leonor making purchases in a shopping center in the city of Punta Arenas, according to sources from the Palacio de la Zarzuela.
According to the Royal House, some responsible for the control of the security cameras of the mall facilitated access to images to a Chilean media, which would mean “an infraction of current regulations” in matters of data protection in Chile, as well as in Spain. The sources mentioned consider that it is an “inadmissible” behavior and that “It is not worth everything”so that prior coordination with the Embassy of Spain “it has been decided to denounce this administrative infraction before the Chilean authorities” by the regulatory channel (the Carabineros, in this case).
Princess Leonor arrived on March 18 to the Chilean city of Punta Arenas aboard the Juan Sebastián de Elcano school ship, at the third stop in America of her military instruction trip, after passing through Montevideo (Uruguay) and Salvador de Bahía (Brazil).
