Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, Moscow and Sverdlovsk regions are named the richest regions of Russia in terms of budget revenues in 2021, and the poorest regions are the republics of Adygea, Altai, Kalmykia, Karachay-Cherkessia, as well as the Jewish Autonomous Region. This was told by the expert of the direction “Spatial development” CSR Alexander Burkov, informs RIA News…
“The total revenues of the budgets of these regions [аутсайдеров] make up up to three percent of the total revenues of the budgets of the leading regions, ”he said.
He pointed out that all regions from the last five receive subsidies from the federal budget to equalize budgetary provision, while the leading regions, on the contrary, do not receive them.
“Now we see that one of the most important factors in the“ wealth ”of a number of regions in the overwhelming majority is the presence in them of large companies, mainly associated with the extraction and processing of natural resources, whose products are quoted on world markets, as well as enterprises producing products with high added cost “, – said the interlocutor of the agency.
According to him, a serious change in the situation in regions with low incomes should not be expected in the near future.
Earlier, the leaders of 2020 among the regions of Russia were determined in terms of the income gap between the poor and the rich. Analysts clarified that in the leading regions, the earnings of the rich are 8-10 times higher than those of the poor. 20 percent of citizens with high incomes received about 82.5 thousand rubles a month, and a fifth of the poorest Russians received 9.88 thousand rubles a month. That is, the former received approximately 8.4 times more money than the latter.
