The Canarian coach will lead the Balearic team until the end of the season
The Ibiza Sports Union announced this Tuesday an agreement with Paco Jemez for the coach to occupy the Balearic team’s bench until the end of this season. The new coach, who replaces the dismissed Josep Lluis Marti, will lead his first training session next Thursday.
Paco Jémez (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1970) returns to the bench of a team that he already coached in the 2021-22 season for 21 games, a stage in which the Balearic team was playing in the Second Division.
Since his debut on the bench in the 2006-2007 season, the Canary Islands coach has played for clubs such as Córdoba CF (2007-2008 and 2011-2012), UD Las Palmas (2009-2011 and 2017-2018), Rayo Vallecano (2012-2016 and 2018-2020), Granada CF (2016-2017) or FC Cartagena (2008-2009), with which they achieved promotion to the Second Division.
Paco Jémez has also managed several foreign clubs such as Blue Cross in Mexico in 2017 and Tractor SC of the Iranian league, where he was from 2022 to 2024.
