The party’s spokesperson, Miriam Guardiola, criticizes the message sent by Minister Alberto Garzón
The PP of the Region of Murcia demanded this Monday the president of the Central Executive, Pedro Sánchez, to carry out a campaign to “repair the damage that his Government has caused to the livestock sector after his inflammatory statements about the quality of Spanish meat from his Minister of Consumption ”, informed party sources in a statement.
This was announced by the PPRM spokesperson, Miriam Guardiola, together with the party’s Deputy Secretary for Participation, Víctor López, and the president of the Electoral Committee, Visitación Martínez, after the Steering Committee chaired by Fernando López Miras.
The PP showed its “absolute support” to the livestock sector, which “employs more than two million people in Spain with an export of 9,000 million euros to more than 130 countries”, and expressed its “rejection” of “the attack unprecedented for a Spanish minister who should not be in the central government for another minute because Spain does not export poor quality meat, but the only thing that exists here is an irresponsible government of poor quality ”.
In addition, Guardiola valued the work of the strategic sector that “works with excellence, guaranteeing the quality of its products and complying with both sanitary and legal measures.” These statements, according to the PPRM spokesperson, “have done irreparable damage, not only to the sector, but also to the image and prestige of the Spain brand.”
In this regard, he indicates that the PP “is leading a parliamentary offensive in all municipalities to demand the resignation or dismissal of the Minister of Consumption, Alberto Garzón,” because “here there are no half measures because the message that the Spanish minister is launching to the world is that they do not consume or buy Spanish meat, something very serious ».
The «Murcian miracle»
On the other hand, Guardiola valued the “good data” for the economic forecasts of the Region of Murcia, “which from outside they call the Murcian miracle” and show, in his opinion, that “the spaces of economic freedom generated by the Party Popular hand in hand with President López Miras make GDP, employment and companies grow ”.
According to Guardiola, “the Caixa Bank Resarch report shows that the community will recover its GDP prior to the pandemic”, in addition to these forecasts “are added to the excellent figures on the decrease in unemployment by 25% in 2021 , with which 30,000 Murcians have come out of unemployment, being the best figure for 23 years “, to which he added” with record figures there are already more than 103,000 self-employed in the Region. ”
During the press conference, the PP spokesperson regretted that “for Pedro Sánchez the pandemic has ended, so he asked” where is the Covid fund for this year 2022? ”
In this sense, he says that “the Region of Murcia, with its toilets at the forefront, is working hard to get out of this sixth wave with pioneering and courageous measures adopted by a committee of experts that does exist here” and, thanks to this, “it is one of the communities that is best resisting the sixth wave, “says the spokeswoman, who valued the” great work of the health workers who continue to work at the foot of the canyon. ”
“In the last three days more than 11,000 free antigen tests have been carried out and on Sunday more than 5,500 people were administered with the booster dose,” concludes the PP leader.
