The Community participates in the digital meeting ‘Soccerex Connected’, which for 100 days allows to show the sports complexes Pinatar Arena and La Manga Club
The Ministry of the Presidency, Tourism and Sports relaunches the
Image of the Region as a preferred option to host the ‘stages’ of the football teams during the Soccerex Connected meeting, which keeps its promotional platform active until August 31.
In this way, the prestigious forum, which brings together representatives and specialists from the football sector, allows to show for 100 consecutive days everything that the Region and, especially, its sports complexes Pinatar Arena and La Manga Club have to offer.
The event includes
conferences, panels, round tables, professional meetings and interviews in which the Region will participate in order to boost the business and position its services and facilities.
The Minister of the Presidency, Tourism and Sports, Marcos Ortuño, explained that participation in these initiatives allows «
reinforce the perception of trust offered by the Region of Murcia in the tourism and sports fields, as well as starting to ensure the arrival of national and international soccer teams and federations for the summer and winter season of 2022 ».
Ortuño announced that this action will continue in November with the participation of the Tourism Institute in the face-to-face fair ‘Soccerex Americas’, which will probably be held in Miami, and where the Region will have its own stand.
Optimal conditions for football preseason
Among the reasons that make the Region of Murcia an «ideal destination for the practice of high-performance sports and high technical training throughout the world, stands out a unique climate, which allows groups to come to make their winter stays when in their countries it is impossible to practice sports outdoors; a wide range of quality accommodation and complementary services and a sports infrastructure in full expansion, which has allowed the destination to go from having 14 football fields to 18 in the last two years between La Manga Club and Pinatar Arena ”, according to the Community in a statement.
The ‘stages’, which include concentrations, training sessions and matches are, together with tourism for sporting events and golf, one of the products that make up the sports tourism strategy in the Region; a key segment capable of opening new market niches, creating jobs, reducing seasonality and increasing the degree of internationalization.
