Almost the entire Region of Murcia is on a yellow warning this Thursday due to rainfall and a storm. Santiago de la Ribera wakes up with flooded streets
The rain left this Thursday 25.7 liters per square meter in Los Alcázares, according to Civil Protection reported through its social networks. That is the amount recorded first thing in the morning at the Ametse meteorological station of the Municipal Security Center, caused by the presence of a DANA. The State Meteorological Agency forecast accumulated rains of 20 mm in one hour.
The episode of showers, which were intense at times, has not caused incidents, nor has it caused the closure of roads or streets, according to Civil Protection sources informed this newspaper. At night, different members of the Local Police, Civil Protection and concession companies carried out surveillance and prevention tasks.
At the moment, the greatest amount of rain is located over the sea and the state of the Los Alcázares boulevard has not been altered.
The road to El Mojón closed
According to the 112 of the Region of Murcia, the El Mojón road is closed as a precaution due to the yellow warning for rain and storms in which most of the Community is located. However, for the moment, they have not received any incidence derived from heavy rainfall.
On the other hand, some streets of Santiago de la Ribera, in San Javier, woke up flooded. However, the emergency services of the Region have not registered incidents in this municipality either.

Two weeks after the tragedy in Javalí Viejo, almost the entire Region of Murcia (Vega del Segura, Valle del Guadalentín, Lorca, Águilas, Campo de Cartagena and Mazarrón) is once again on a yellow warning for rain and storms. For this Thursday, these are expected to last all day and an accumulated rainfall of 20 mm is estimated in one hour.
