The Corregidora Stadium in Querétaro is making history. This stage will be the first in Mexican football to have an exclusive area for Gallos Blancos fans to attend with their pets, specifically their dogs.
Francisco Ríos, director of Mars Pet Nutrition Mexico, a pet food manufacturer, indicated in an interview with ESPN that modifications will be made so that fans can attend the Corregidora Stadium with their dogs. A part of the stalls was adapted to have specific spaces for dogs. This space will be open to all home games.
According to one of the promoters of the initiative, the dogs will be found, in pits, or corraletas, where they will be safe. This part is acclimatized so that the pet is comfortable and the sound does not affect them.
According to Francisco Ríos, there will be 16 spaces with these characteristics in the stadium. Each can hold up to four people and two medium-sized pets.
This measure debuted on Thursday, October 14 in the match between Querétaro and Xolos de Tijuana, however it was exclusively for business partners and team personnel. Next Tuesday, October 19, when Querétaro receives Monterrey, the first experience will be lived for the general public.
