The spokesman for the socialists in the Assembly accuses the president of the Chamber of “not guaranteeing the proper functioning of parliamentary activity”
The spokesman for the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Francisco Lucas, demanded the “immediate” resignation of the president of the Regional Assembly, Alberto Castillo, for “being the executing arm of the López Miras cacicadas and not guaranteeing the proper functioning of parliamentary activity.”
Lucas lamented that this legislature is marked by the “political and institutional indignity of the PP and its turncoat partners and that the Regional Assembly is in the hands of unethical people who have betrayed their parties and only seek their benefit.”
He thus referred to the decision taken this Monday by the president of the regional parliament to postpone the meeting of the Board of Spokespersons, initially scheduled for this Tuesday, given the situation in which the regional parliament remained after requesting two Vox deputies to move to the Group Mixed and force the disappearance of the Vox parliamentary group, as the two deputies remaining in it also had to go to the Mixed Group.
“López Miras acts like a cacique giving instructions to his accomplice from the Regional Assembly Alberto Castillo, who complies without hesitation by subordinating the Parliament of the Region to the service of the interests of the PP and the personal interests of López Miras, it is embarrassing”, assured the socialist, who considers that Castillo “should be the maximum guarantor of the separation of powers and independence and the proper functioning of parliamentary activity.”
In that sense, he considers “unheard of that Castillo has refused to convene a Board of Spokespersons that was already scheduled because the PP has lost the majority” and affirmed that it is giving an “embarrassing show.” In his opinion, the “PP, López Miras and their turncoat partners rot everything they touch and prevent opposition groups from fulfilling their function of controlling the Government, censoring any debate and legislative initiative that does not interest them and now they block the activity parliamentary”.
Lucas alluded to “arbitrary” decisions that have been made in recent days, such as the fact that Vox deputy Francisco Carrera is the new spokesperson for the Mixed Group.
As explained by the socialist, the Mixed Group was regulated by a regulation that declines at the moment in which the composition changes and no longer has a regulation that regulates it, «the closest precedent was when Juan José Molina and Ana Martínez joined it , then it was not interesting that the spokesperson was Ana Martínez and it was María Marín because it took more time; now he does not care if it is María Marín and Francisco Carrera is named. We denounce these arbitrary decisions,” he assured, indicating that the president of the Assembly “who unblocked the tie to make the decision of who would be the provisional spokesman.”
In that sense, he does not understand why the criteria for choosing who would be the provisional spokesperson for the Joint Group has been changed, “meanwhile, the Bureau does not have the power to appoint a provisional spokesman while the Joint Group does not reach an agreement.”
