You will surely remember among the most popular Netflix series of the last decade Thirteen: the series, whose plot centered on the mysterious suicide of high school student Hannah Baker, made many actors popular, including obviously its protagonist, Dylan Minnette.
At the end of the fourth season of the series, however, all traces of the actor were lost: he no longer acted in any role and, finally, Dylan himself explained to us the reason for his choice.
“I have been fortunate to find success in acting. I was in 13 Reasons Why, a show that it was very popular and definitely reached the pinnacle of what I got out of acting. But it also started to feel a bit like work.
I was in a very lucky position, it was always fun for me, always really challenging, but then it was starting to just feel like work.
My greatest passion is music and with my band I want to give everything: I will dedicate myself 100% to this project, even if this means putting acting aside. I am sure that this new stage in my life will allow me to have new inspiration to return to the screens.”
Not really a farewell to acting, Minnette’s, but rather a “goodbye”.
