“The prosecutor’s office of the Moscow region is preparing an appeal against the verdict passed by the Podolsk city court on the basis of the acquittal of the jury against the former head of the administration of the Ramenskoye municipal district,” the city news agency quoted a representative of the prosecutor’s office as saying “Moscow“.
Earlier, on October 27, the jury acquitted the former head of the Ramensky district, Andrei Kulakov, in the case of the murder of the deputy chairman of the Public chamber of the district, Evgenia Isaenkova, who was in a relationship with him, reports RT… On the basis of the jury’s verdict, the Podolsk City Court issued an acquittal to Kulakov.
In the Podolsk Regional Court, five jurors voted for his innocence, while only one person found him guilty. Judge Diana Almaeva ordered the release of Kulakov from custody in the courtroom.
Kulakov himself drew attention to the fact that Isaenkova could have enemies. At the same time, he admitted that he himself could have been killed, but it is unclear for what reasons. Commenting on the jury’s decision, he stressed that he was completely satisfied with it.
On October 27, prosecutors put forward new evidence of Kulakov’s guilt. The prosecutor’s office provided a message that the ex-head of the Ramensky district sent Isaenkova shortly before her death, it says that the woman had completely worn out Kulakov. However, he himself replied that he remembers such a message, but cannot say for sure who he sent it to.
On May 31, Kulakov was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Isaenkova, with whom he was in a relationship. According to preliminary information, the wife of the official found out about the betrayal and began to put pressure on her husband. As a result, on the night of May 2, the suspect allegedly killed his 39-year-old mistress and fled the scene.
Isaenkova was found a few days later in her own Mercedes car with signs of strangulation.
The message about the murder was commented on by the ex-wife of Kulakov. According to her, the official never showed aggression during their marriage and could hardly kill someone.
On May 29, Kulakov prematurely resigned as head of the Ramensky district. At the same time, he categorically denies his guilt.
