The Madrid Provincial Prosecutor’s Office has filed a complaint on Monday against María Isabel Peralta Medina, leader of the far-right organization Bastion Frontal, for an alleged hate crime as a result of some demonstrations by the young woman during a rally organized on May 18, 2021 in front of to the Moroccan embassy, coinciding with the border crisis in which some 10,000 Moroccans entered Ceuta. At the protest, Peralta read a manifesto in which he called for “death to the invader” in reference to North African immigration, which the public prosecutor interprets as an urge “to violence and hostility against Moroccan and Muslim migrants.
At the head of the demonstration, called through the Twitter account of the far-right group with the slogans “stop the invasion” and “Morocco, a terrorist state”, Peralta read a manifesto before the cameras in which he affirmed that the immigrants they destroyed the culture and moral identity of Spain and Europe. “We are not going to allow that,” the ultra leader exclaimed, according to the text of the prosecution’s complaint released this Monday. “If we do not stop them, this will be imminent because immigration in Europe will supplant our race (…) and we are the only ones who are going to fight for it,” he continued.
The Prosecutor’s Office also points out that the one now denounced joined one of the slogans chanted by the protesters: “It is not immigration, it is an invasion.” In addition, the note points out, the rally heard other statements such as “Christian and non-Muslim Spain”, while displaying the flags of the Central Bastion group and displaying two banners that read “neither the King nor the Government nor the The EU will stop Moroccan expansionism ”and“ Mohamed VI, take your dirty hands off our land… Forward Spain ”. Once the concentration was over, incidents were recorded when several members of the group attacked the deployed police device, and five people were arrested.
