The promoters of the Francoist manifesto redouble his defense of the dictator with a first act: “Franco continues to shine”

Francoists who are immersed in a campaign to counteract acts prepared by the Government for the 50th anniversary of Franco’s death do not stop. If they have achieved in a short time to agglutinate in the manifesto in defense of the dictator more than 300 signatures, now they aspire to fill the capacity of 500 people who will have the first act with which they start the battery of activities that have planned: they have summoned it the next February 15 in an enclosure for events near the Casa de Campo de Madrid under the heading “proud of our history”.

“What we are going to say is that we are proud of one of the best times in our history, which is being attacked today and on which it lies more than ever. We are proud of those who gave their lives for Spain and those who rebuilt her in the best possible way after saving her from the hoz and the hammer and communism, ”summarizes Assisi Gamazo, a young man who puts the face of the Luz de Trent , who says of herself that “works to restore Christian civilization.”

Although Saturday’s act is celebrated under the umbrella of the 2025 platform, promoter of the Franco and the Manifesto campaign, this Luz de Trent collective is the one organized, he has advanced Public. Gamazo, a law student, is a true admirer of Franco and qualifies him as “great ruling, deeply Christian and patriot,” he says in an online conversation that he had this Monday with businessman Álvaro Romero, one of the drivers of the platform, with The objective of talking about the act, which will be held in the farmhouse of José Luis.

In line with the manifesto, signed among others by the coup tejero and about thirty retired military, the video is a conglomerate from Loas to Franco and the dictatorship, a regime that executed thousands of people – many of them still missing – and that suppressed freedoms and rights. “The little good we have left in today’s Spain we owe it to the July 18 regime,” says Gamazo, who regrets that “have been trying to demolish their work for 50 years” but at the same time celebrates “that some vestige and plaque still We are left. ”

The poster of the act announces, using a photograph of the dictator, which will be attended by Juan Chicharro, president of the Francisco Franco Foundation, Gonzalo Fernández de la Mora, son of former Francoist Minister of Public Works, the historian Fernando Paz and the journalist José Javier Esparza.

“They won’t be able to with us”

Gamazo landed in this political universe “through Vox”, where he met young people for Spain, a youth organization near the extreme right -wing party from which Luz de Trent arose later, which seeks to “serve God and the country” through “the” the cultural battle and ideas ”. Among other things, the dictator’s defense, which “50 years later continues to sell and attract […] Keep shining no matter how much they want to cover it and put mud on it. The pearl continues to flash, ”says the association’s spokesman in the interview.

Saturday’s act is the first of several with which the 2025 platform intends to counteract the government campaign, conceived to defend the importance of democracy. In addition to continuing to disseminate the manifesto, the promoters plan the victory of the rebels, the coup d’etat and the death of the dictator respectively.

Thus, the organizers of the activity consider a double objective: on the one hand “to publicize and affirm our love for Franco and his work” and on the other “to respond to the entire Rojerío And the liberals who are not a few here in Spain, so that they realize that, few more and more, we are dipares to defend the legacy and work of the leader. ” “Here we are and will not be able to with us,” says Gamazo, which as a “short -term” goal states that the Francisco Franco Foundation is not extinguished by the Government.

The Pedro Sánchez executive is vigilant and follows the movements of this newly created platform. Among other things, because the apology of the Francoism it does is pursued by the Democratic Memory Law, which includes fines against the exaltation of the Civil War, the dictatorship or its leaders whenever they entail “described, contempt or humiliation” to the victims or your relatives. In fact, Izquierda Unida has already claimed in Congress that sanctions are imposed. Francoists defend themselves: “There is no mention, neither positive nor negative, about the so -called ‘victims of Franco’. Therefore, there is no sanctionable expression on current laws. ”
