The price of second-hand cars rose in the Region of Murcia by 14.6% compared to the same month in 2021, to an average of 11,500 euros, compared to 12,253 euros for the whole of Spain. In addition, the national rise was greater, 15.9% in annual terms. Compared to April 2022, second-hand cars rose by 2.23% in the Community.
Regarding the oldest cars, over 8 years old, an average of 8,807 euros were paid in the region, a 14.5% increase compared to May 2021. The national average price was placed at 9,159 euros, 14. 5% rise. In addition, the cost of older passenger cars fell by 1% in the Region compared to April, compared to the 2.16% decrease in the national average. The weight of these cars was 72.4% of the total sales of the Region of Murcia.
National market
The average price of second-hand cars stood at 12,253 euros last May, 15.9% higher than the same month last year. In Ceuta and Melilla, where part of the sales go to the Moroccan market, they exceed 80%.
